the Salon du Livre takes place in the big Hall 1 at the
Parc des Expositions de Paris at the Porte de Versailles.

'sub-salons;' they are: 35,000 square metres - surface of the salon 510 stands 1193 Publishers; 1803 including Multimedia, Métiers, and Revues 905 French Publishers 288 Foreign Publishers - from the following countries: Algeria- 8, Belgium- 30, Germany- 6, Ireland- 15, Italy- 2, Luxembourg- 2, Morocco- 10, Québec / Canada- 68, Russia- 2, Romania- 6, Spain- 3, Switzerland- 38, Turkey- 5, USA- 84; and one each from the following countries: Cape Verde Islands, China, Denmark, Monaco, Norway, The Netherlands, Poland, and Great Britian. There are 395 publishers from 21 regions throughout France. There will be more than 95 conference and debates. 800 authors are expected to be present, and 200,000 visitors are expected. If you are searching for a particular book, there is a database containing more than 350,000 titles, called Electre, that can be accessed from a dozen terminals located around the salon hall. |
