Weekly contents are listed below the following 'FlashNews' bulletin.

Paris:- Saturday, 10. October 1998:- 12:30 CET - 11:30 GMT:- A slight improvement in public transport service is expected for this weekend in the Paris region. While some RER and SNCF train drivers decided to go back to work in the Paris area, their discontent has spread to some provincial centres.

Details for Saturday:

Airport: Charles-de-Gaulle - Roissy - served by RER line 'B3' - this line should see one train per hour, while the southern section of line 'B' is expected to be operating normally. The Air France bus service is operating normally.

Airport: Orly - served by line RER 'C' - the SNCF's management expects three trains to operate out of four. OrlyBus service to Paris operating normally.

Paris - All RATP Métro and bus services are reported to be operating normally.

Versailles - One SNCF train out of three should be operating from Montparnasse. RER line 'C' service should have 75 percent of normal service. One SNCF train in three is reported to be operating out of Gare Saint-Lazare.

Gare du Nord, RER line 'D' - this service is still reduced, to perhaps one train per hour. Parts of the southern section of line 'D' reportedly have no trains running.

SNCF medium distance: Gare du Nord, Paris-Est; all have reduced service on suburban lines. Traffic originating at Austerlitz is uncertain. Service affected in the Calais and Lille areas is now reported to be affecting the Rouen area.

'Eurostar' London-Brussels-Paris - this service is operating normally.
