Breakfast, We Pretty Much Inhale
Email from Toni Davis-Harrison. Sent via the Internet: Thursday, 23. December 1999:- Although, my husband and I are Jewish, we spend the Christmas day with my parents who live on a non-working farm in the north of Michigan, USA. Mom makes something with lots of fat in it for breakfast which we pretty much inhale. Then we alternate napping and watching the best - in our opinion - of last year's movies. There may or may not be some cross-country skiing involved depending on the existing snow. However, it has been, and I'm sure, will be very peaceful. I hope the same for you. Toni S. Davis-Harrison

Noël On the Garden State Parkway
Email from Paul Babbitt, writing from Bloomfield, New Jersey. Sent via the Internet: Saturday, 25. December 1999:- Much of our Christmas was spent driving up and down the Garden State Parkway to Fair Haven, NJ - about 40 miles, or 65 km. On Christmas Eve, we drove to visit my parents, where we had dinner, went to Christmas Eve services, went to bed, woke up, ate fritata for breakfast, and exchanged gifts. Then it was back up the Parkway to our house, because we had left our cats alone for the first time. (They were fine). Then down to my wife's parents' house, again a trip on the Parkway, to Old Bridge, NJ - about 30 miles, or 50 km - where we had lasagna, more gift exchanging and general merriment. Most important, we announced to our families that we are expecting our first child, which we are now sharing with the world. Paul and Janet
