La lacque contemporaine – 'un art de lumière' – involves lacquer, and the interesting décor objects than can result, sometimes humorous. This begins on Tuesday, 10. Atelier Adamson – considered one of the best digital printers, David Adamson has treated the portfolios of artists such as François–Marie Banier, Jim Dine, Chuck Close, Adam Fuss, Jenny Holzer, Robert Longo, Jack Pierson, Donald Sultan, Robert Rauschenberg and Wiliam Wegman. Montparnasse Déporté, Artistes d'Europe – features 150 works by artists connected to Montparnasse, and deported between 1941 and 1945. Includes Soutine, Epstein, Max Jacob and Robert Desnos. Belleville's Open Doors – Belleville's artists open hundreds of doors to their ateliers for four afternoons from 15:00 to 21:00. Beginning on Friday, 20. May, continuing until Monday, 23. May. 3rd Biannual of Marionette Arts – a festival organized by the Théâtre de la Marionnette and the Villette park with French and foreign participation. From Monday, 23. May until Sunday, 12 June. Africa Remix – for the first time, a comprehensive exhibition of contemporary art from all of Africa, featuring a hundred artists in all their variety. Beginning Wednesday, 25. July. The now annual Marche des Fiertés Lesbiennes, Gaies, Bi et Trans! will roll loudly through Paris on Saturday, 25. June. Also annual, the Paris Cinéma festival will be happening from Wednesday, 29. June until Tuesday, 12. July.

Charlie Chaplin – on view in a photo exhibition entitled 'Un Comédien Voit le Monde.' This begins on Tuesday, 7. June and continues until 18. September.
