See It While It Lasts

The final days of a Village art squat.

Thursday, 14. December:– The events magazine Time Out New York has many interesting tidbits for the visitor, and one I spotted got me on the subway for a ride down to the East Village to see the about–to–close art squat on Spring Street. Other alert readers were there too, conducting surveys, making documentaries, doing classwork, and generally improving the site, I think. Now, three weeks later, that particular copy – the one I saved especially for this purpose – of Time Out contains not one word about it. My planning was good but something is totally wrong with the magazine.
